Qualification Details :

Professor

 

I      An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concened/allied/relevant discipline and

published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

1.        A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research/extension education experience of which at least 3 years should have been spent as Assoc. Prof. at an AGP of Rs.      9000/- or in equiValent position in University/college, and/or National level institutions including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

3.   Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching leaning process.

4.   A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Univ. Regulation.

 

Associate Professor

I       A consistently good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concened/allied/relevant discipline.

2.      A minimum of 8 years experience in teaching/ research and/or extension education as Asstt. Prof. or equivalent position in a I niversiy/ College or Accredited Research Institution (excluding the period spent in Ph.D. research subject to a maximum of 3 years) with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. ”

2.          Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses. and technoloy mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates at doctoral and master level.

3.         A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS). set out in Univ. Regulation.

 

Assistant Professor

 

1    A consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade of 6.5       10.0 or 3.2/4.0 in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

2.       Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared theNational Eligibility Test     (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR/ASRB in the concerned or relevant subject or similar test accredited by the UGC/CSIR/ASRB etc.

 

For the candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waved off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has atleast two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D.degree ithout course work will not qualify for NET exemption
