Pay scale for
Western railway 2249 posts: Pay Band‐I of Rs.5200‐20200 with Grade Pay of Rs 1800/‐    from OPEN MARKET for its Division(s) and Workshop(s).

Educational Qualification for Western railway 2249 posts: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent

Age Limit: Should be between 18‐33 years as on 01.01.2013.

Examination Fees: 

The Examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs 40/‐ (Rupees Forty)
only. The examination fee would be required to be paid in the nearest STATE BANK of INDIA branch only.

Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, Women
candidates, minorities and economically backward classes having income less than
Rs 50,000/‐  P.A are fully exempt from payment of examination fees.

SYLLABUS & EXAMINATION:
Question paper for the Written Test shall be of Class 10th standard, consisting of 150
multiple‐choice (four) objective type questions, mainly aimed to assess general knowledge /awareness, mathematics, general science and reasoning etc. Question paper shall be printed in Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati only. The duration of Written Test shall be 2 (two) hours. Negative marking shall prevail.

How to Apply: Applications can be downloaded from www.rrc‐wr.com .Candidates should PASTE their colored passport size (3 cm x5 cm) photograph on the downloaded application. Candidates to sign on the photograph in a manner that part signature are on the application and part on the photograph not covering the face. They must submit one additional identical passport size photographs with the application also They should mention their Registration Number, Name and date of birth on the back of the additional photograph attached along with the application.

The downloaded application from our website with its unique registration number   may be sent by ordinary post to Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Road, Grant Road, Mumbai‐400 007 or dropped in the Application Box kept in the RRC office, up to 17.00 hrs. Of the closing date of 24.11.2012 till 1700 hrs.
