The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) National Police Academy invites application for filling up following posts in the Information and Technology wing (Scientist-E (Computers),System Administrator, Web Administrator, Programmer, Network Administrator, Data Entry Operator) of the Academy on temporary basis. This temporary employment will not bestow any claim for regular appointment in the Academy.

 

The details about Qualification, Experience, Remuneration and Age limit etc., and application form are given below:

 

Mode of Selection: The duly constituted screening committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates to be called for skill test/interview.

Education qualification:

For
Scientist-E (Computers)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 37400 – 67000(PB 4) with Grade Pay Rs.8700/-(Pay scale of the post)

However, the candidate will be paid a fixed remuneration which will be decided at the time of selection.

 

Brief description of the job requirements and nature of duties of the post: 15 Years’ experience with the following capabilities:

I.    Capable to provide the latest developments in the field of Information and Communication Technology to the basic course and senior course officers as part of training programs.

ii.    The Academy has a huge Infrastructure which is growing day by day. This needs a suitable. Technical person for implementing projects, from the beginning of perceiving, making proposals, implementing and execution etc. More than six years of experience in System Analysis, Design & System Administration along with knowledge of network operating systems.

iii.     Domain knowledge of Cyber Forensic and Crimes is required. Should be able to handle the Cyber Forensic and Crimes subject for Basic and In-service Courses and should able to conduct Simulation Exercises on “Cyber Forensics” using latest available tools.

Qualification as laid down in the notified Recruitment Rules, including any relaxation: Essential:

 

B.E/B. Tech/M.Sc. or equivalent in Physical/ Chemical/ Material Science/ Metallurgy/ Ceramics/ Chemical Engineering/ Nano materials with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/institution and having 12 (twelve) years post qualification experience in the relevant field;

 

OR

M.E/M.Tech in metallurgy/ Ceramics/ Chemical Engineering/ Nano materials with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university/Institution and having 10(Ten) years’ experience in the relevant field OR

Ph.D. in Physical/ Chemical/ Material Sciences/ Metallurgy/ Ceramics/ Chemical engineering/Nano materials from a recognized University/Institution with 8 (eight) years post qualification experience in the relevant field.

Experience:

Minimum 6 years’ experience in the post of System Administrator.

For System Administrator

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15600 – 39100(PB 3) with Grade Pay Rs.6600/-(Pay scale of the post)

However, the candidate will be paid a fixed remuneration which will be decided at the time of selection

 

Brief description of the job requirements and nature of duties of the post: 8 years of experience in the following:

I.    Administration and Trouble shooting of Blade Servers.

ii.    Management and Dynamic allocation of storage requirements.

iii.    Administration of Windows and Linux bases servers.

iv.    Management of Virtual servers using VMW are or such products.

v.    Administration and management of Data base servers (MS SQL, My SQL etc.)

vi.    Installation of Operating System (Windows, Linux or any other OS.

 

vii.     Management of operating system Patches.

viii.    Administration and Management of Web Server, MIL Server.

ix.    Administration and Management of Authentication server, crating policies with respect users, OU,

x.    Management of DNS server

xi.    Management of Internet Services, coordinating failures, Load balancing and troubleshooting etc.,

 

xii.     Management of Network administration-creating policies, Network groups, VLAN management etc.

xiii.    Identification of Misbehaving systems and isolation.

xiv.    Implementing and managing of Academy applications for smooth client level access.

xv.    Management of Antivirus servers and patch management-client updations

xvi.    Management of Routers Firewalls etc.

 

Qualification as laid down in the notified Recruitment Rules, including any relaxation: Essential: BE(electronics/Computers) Or M.Sc. (IT/Computer) /MCA/BCA OR Diploma in Electronics and Communication.

More than six years ofpost-qualificationn experience in handling computer systems with knowledge of operating systems installation and maintenance, patch updating, server administration and troubleshooting etc., and implementation of new hardware.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years’ experience as Web Administrator and familiar with the activities mentioned in the job profile.

For Web Administrator

Scale of Pay: Rs.9300 – 34800(PB 2) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-(Pay scale of the post)

However, the candidate will be paid a fixed remuneration which will be decided at the time of selection.
Brief description of the job requirements and nature of duties of the post: I. Five years of experience in design, development and maintaining the websites, coding programs for software packages in Dot Net and Java Technology or with latest technology. Writing scripts and maintaining SQL/MySQL/Oracle server.

ii. To maintain and update intranet and internet web portals of the Academy.

iii. To modify and redesign the required content over these pages.

iv. To design and develop web applications as required time to time.

v. To maintain the data base servers.

vi. Should have skills in writing required scripts for the data bases.

vii. Should have design website Database systems

Qualification as laid down in the notified Recruitment Rules, including any relaxation: Essential:

I. B.Tech Computers/MCA/ M.Sc.(IT)BCA/BSc (Computers) or Diploma (electronics).

ii. Holding relevant training/ certification in the software development field.

Desirable:

Five years of post-qualification experience in design, development and maintaining the websites, coding programs of software packages in Dot Net and \java Technology or with latest technology. Writing scripts and maintaining SQL/Oracle server/ SQL Database systems.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as Web Administrator and familiar with the activities mentioned in the job profile.

For Programmer

Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 – 20200(PB 1) with Grade Pay Rs.2800/-(Pay scale of the post)

However, the candidate will be paid a fixed remuneration which will be decided at the time of selection.

Brief description of the job requirements and nature of duties of the post: Two years of experience in Network maintenance.

I.    Should possess CCNA certification with experience in managing and trouble shooting of large networks.

ii.    Creating and managing VLANs.

iii.    Knowledge of network related Active Passive components and their functioning.

iv.     Knowledge of network trouble shooting.

Qualification as laid down in the notified Recruitment Rules, including any relaxation: Essential:

Bachelor Degree /Diploma in Electronics/Computer/ Tele-communication with Cisco Certified Network Associate or Master Degree in Physics with Cisco Certified Network Associate.

Desirable:

Two years of experience in Network maintenance

Experience:

For Network Administrator

Scale of Pay: Rs, 9300 – 34800(PB 2) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-(Pay scale of the post)

Brief description of the job requirements and nature of duties of the post: 6 years’ experience in working with computers with the following capabilities.

I.    Having skills in entering data at a rate of 40 words per minute.

ii.    Should have high skill set in MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel in latest MS office edition.

iii.    Internet browsing and content management.

iv.    Basic working knowledge Photoshop

v.    Scanning and documentation.

vi.    Managing Audio and Video files.

vii.    IT Support for Faculty/Guest faculty and Class room support.

Qualification as laid down in the notified Recruitment Rules, including any relaxation: Essential:

I BCA/ BSc.(Computers/ Electronics)/B.Com (Computers).

ii.    Speed in English Typing @ 35 works per minute or Speed in Hindi typing @ 30 words per minute on computer. (Time allowed-10 minutes) (35 w.p.m. and 30 p.m. correspond to 105000 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

iii.    Should have skill set in MS-Word, MS, Power Point, MS- Excel in latest MS office edition and knowledge in statically

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in working with computers in the fields as mentioned in the job profile.
