Candidates, who have passed 12th standard examination of any recognised Board / Council / University with at least 45% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects are eligible for the post. Candidates, who have passed 2-years’ Trade Certificate Course in Electronics / Electrical / Computer trade from any recognised ITI after passing 10th standard examination of any recognised Board / Council may also apply. Candidates, who have passed 3-years’ Diploma Course in Electronics / Communication / Instrumentation / Electrical / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology from any recognised Polytechnic after passing 10th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects of any recognised Board / Council are also eligible. Age should have to be between 18 and 25 years as on 24.10.2014 that means candidates should have to born between 24.10.1989 and 24.10.1996. OBC-NCL & SC / ST candidates will get relaxation in age by 3 years & 5 years respectively. Ex-Servicemen will get exemption in age as per the Govt. rules. The height of the candidate should have to be at least 170 cms (162.5 cms for ST & 165 cms for Gorkhas, Sikkimese & the residents of other North Eastern States) and the chest should have to be at least 80 cms (76 cms for ST & 78 cms for Gorkhas, Sikkimese & the residents of other North Eastern States) with expiration capacity of minimum 5 cms. The weight should have to be corresponding to the height & age. Distant vision should have to be 6/6 & 6/9 in both eyes without wearing glasses. Candidate should not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vain or squint in eyes. Candidates should possess good mental & bodily health and free from any physical defect, which is likely to hamper the efficient performance of the duties. Scale of Pay is Rs.5,200/- – 20,200/- with Grade pay of Rs.2,400/-. Number of Vacancy is 229 (Gen : 116, OBC : 62, SC : 34, ST : 17).

Mode of Selection : |
Selection will be made on the basis of Height Bar Test followed by Race, Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Test, Document Verification & Medical Examination. At first, candidates will be primarily screened on the basis of height as mentioned above. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Race of 5 km, to be completed within 24 minutes. Qualified candidates will be put through Physical Standard Test, to be conducted as per the physical requirement as mentioned above. Qualified candidates in the Physical Standard Test, will be called for Written Test of 2 hours duration & it will consist of multiple choice objective type questions on the following 5 subjects : (i) Quantitative Aptitude, (ii) Basic Reasoning, (iii) General Awareness, (iv) General English & (v) General Hindi. Each subject will carry 20 marks. Candidates should have to secure at least 35% (33% for SC / ST / OBC-NCL) marks in aggregate to qualify in the Written Test. Selected candidates will have to undergo Medical Exam. The date, time & venue of the tests will be intimated through Admit Card in due course. | |||
| How to Apply : | Candidates should have to download the Application Form on plain A-4 size paper from this website : www.itbpolice.nic.in or www.appointmentnews.org The duly filled in Application should have to be enclosed with the following documents : (1) 2 copies of attested passport size recent photographs (1 copy each to be affixed on the top right hand box of the Application Form & Admit Card), (2) 2 self-addressed envelopes of 4 × 9 inches size with postage stamp of Rs.5/- affixed on each, (3) Attested photostat copies of all Certificates & Mark Sheets in support of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Discharge (for EXSM), (4) Attested photostat copy of Caste Certificate (for SC / ST / OBC) issued by an authority not below the rank of Tehsildar / SDM, (5) Attested photostat copy of Height / Chest Relaxation Certificate as per Annexure-V (available on the website as mentioned above), (6) Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) of Rs.50/- as Application Fee. No fee is required for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen. The Central Recruitment Fee Stamp should have to be affixed on the Application Form in the space earmarked for that purpose and got it cancelled at the counter of the issuing Post Office with the Date Stamp in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamp partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear & distinct to facilitate the identification of date & issuing Post Office at any subsequent stage. The envelope containing the duly filled in Application should have to be superscribed as ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF head constable (telecommunication) in itbp’.
