Eligibility Criteria :
- Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Graduate Engineer under the disciplines Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications, Instrumentation should be qualified in the Engineering/Technology in the relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. The SC/ST/PWD candidates should get 50% marks.
- Age Limit :Age should be less than 25 years as on 30-06-2013.
- Age Relaxation:Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/ SC/ ST/ PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directive.

Education qualification required for the Recruitment of Graduate Engineer Trainee in HPCL through GATE Exam:
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechanical & Production, Civil, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics &
Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, and Instrumentation & Electronics with 60% marks.
Note: Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply.
Stipend: During the training, the Trainees will get Rs.33000/- per month as stipend and after successful completion of training, they will be absorbed in the pay scale Rs.24900-50500. (CTC Rs.8.50 Lac per annum approx.)
GATE is required: Candidates need to apply for GATE-2013 and get GATE registration numberfrom 01/09/2012 to 30/09/2012. The GATE will be conducted on 10/02/2013 in offline mode and on 20/01/2013 online.
