QUALIFICATIONS :
i) For Foundation Course : M. Ed. / M.Ed. ( Elementary ) with 55% marks
or
M.A. in Education with 55 % marks
and
Diploma / Degree in Primary / Elementary Education with 55 % marks
– all from recognized University / Institutes.
ii) For Methodology Course : A Master’s Degree of two years duration ( regular ) course, with Honours at
Graduation Level, having at least 55% marks in relevant school teaching subject and Diploma /Degree in Education / Primary Education with 55% marks – all from recognized University / Institutes.
(iii) Knowledge in Bengali – Spoken & Written [For the posts at item no. 1 (a) to 1(g)]; Knowledge in Nepali – Spoken & Written [For the posts at item no. 1 (h) to 1(j)];
Knowledge in Urdu – Spoken & Written [For the posts at item no. 1 (k)] (iv) Acquisition of Computer Literacy.

2. MOTOR VEHICLES INSPECTOR (TECHNICAL) UNDER TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF
WEST BENGAL: THIRTY TWO [OBC-A – 2, OBC-B – 2, S.C.- 6, S.T. – 7 and P.D.(Loco-motor disability or
Cerebral Palsy) — 1]
QUALIFICATIONS : Essential: i) Pass in School Final or its equivalent examination; ii) A diploma in
Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institution; iii) Two years’ experience in an
Automobile Workshop of repute; iv) Driving license for heavy vehicles.
N.B. i) Qualifications and experience are relaxable for otherwise well qualified candidates at the discretion of
the Commission.
ii) Services transferable all over the state of West Bengal.
3. MOTOR VEHICLES INSPECTOR (NON-TECHINACAL) UNDER THE TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT,
GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL : FORTY SIX [OBC-A – 5 , OBC-B – 3, S.C. – 10 , S.T. – 3 and P.D. – 2 (1
each reserved for Blindness or Low Vision and Hearing Impairment)]
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: i) A degree of a recognised University. (ii) Candidates should fulfil the minimum
physical standard as prescribed below :-
Height – 170 Cms.,
160 Cms. (for Hillmen & Tribal candidates)
Chest – 86 Cms. (after expiration)
81 Cms. (after expiration) [for Hillmen & Tribal candidates]
Desirable : Knowledge of Driving & Motor Mechanism.
N.B. Services transferable all over the state of West Bengal.
PAY : For item No. 2 : (P.B.- 3) Rs. 7,100/- – Rs.37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,100/-.
For item No. 3 : (P.B.- 3) Rs. 7,100/- – Rs.37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs.3,900/-.
AGE : For both at item No. 2 & 3 Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2013, relaxable for otherwise well qualified
and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment under the Transport
Department.
FEE : Candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs160/- (Rupees one hundred and sixty) only for
all the posts by Indian Postal Order which MUST BE PURCHASED ON A DATE AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS
ADVERTISEMENT and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a
receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head
‚0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees‛. The Postal Orders should be made
payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. will not be accepted. No application
will be considered unless accompanied with the requisite application fees. Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. of
West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Persons With Disabilities Rules, 1999 are not required to
pay any fee. The application of such candidates will not be accepted if the same is not accompanied with the
attested copy of S.C./S.T./Persons with Disabilities certificate. Such exemption of fees is, however, not applicable to
any B.C. candidate. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other
examination.
