Kolkata MSC – Recruitment of 23 Staff Nurse, Engineer, School Inspector. Last Dt. 20/03/2015

Municipal Service Commission, Kolkata is inviting application for 23 posts of Staff Nurse, Assistant Engineer (Civil), Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) and School Inspector (Bengali Medium). MUNICIPAL SERVICE COMMISSION OF KOLKATA INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 23 POSTS OF STAFF NURSE, ASST. ENGINEER, SUB ASST. ENGINEER AND SCHOOL INSPECTOR. LAST DATE – 20/03/2015.

1. Staff Nurse: 3 posts (SC)
Qualification: General Nursing and Midwifery course from Nursing Council of West Bengal or its equivalent
Age: 18 – 42yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3200/-

2. Assistant Engineer (Civil): 2 posts. (SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering. Desirable – One year’s post Graduate practical Engineering experience and Passing the Examination of ‘O’ level in Computer application approved by AICTE, is desirable.
Age: 18—42yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—42000 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/-

3. Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil): 13 posts.
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering and One year’s practical Training or studying or research or practical engineering experience in the Municipal Engineering work. Desirable — Working knowledge in computer is preferable.
Age: 18—42yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.9000—40500 and Grade Pay: Rs.4400/-

4. School Inspector (Bengali Medium): 05 posts. (Gen—3; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Second Class Honours or Second Class Masters’ Degree in any discipline and should have obtained minimum 55% marks in Madhyamik and 50% marks in Higher Secondary/equivalent from a recognized Board/Council.
AND Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching of Education (B.Ed) (NCTE approved) with good knowledge of Bengali (Speak and write)
Desirable — Applicants with teaching experience, proficiency in games/sports and knowledge of computer application is desirable.
Age: 18—37yrs
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.4100/-

The upper age limit indicated above is for candidates belonging to General Category. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Personality Test. Written Test will be OMR based multiple choice objective type of 100 questions on subject respective to the post. See officially released advertisement for more details.

There will be negative marking for wrong answer. Question will be set in English and time allowed will be 2 (two) hours.
On basis of written test, candidates will be called for Personality Test/ Interview.

Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply shall pay Application Fee of Rs.150/- and Processing Fee of Rs.50/-, i.e. Rs.200/- in total through online mode using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or can be paid through offline mode as per convenience of the applicant.

SC/ST AND PWD CANDIDATES SHALL PAY RS.50/- ONLY AS PROCESSING FEE. NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED FOR SUCH CANDIDATES.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may register for online Application form on or before 20/03/2015 after which no registration will be allowed. Candidates who will register within said dates may submit their fee through bank (only for offline mode fee payment) within 23/03/2015 by means of system generated fee payment challan and shall update the same in their online application on or before 26.03.2015.
