Serial No. 1 : Apprentice in Fitter Trade. Number of vacancy is 195 (UR : 98, OBC : 53, SC : 29, ST : 15), out of which OH : 03, HH : 02.

| Mode of Selection : | Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination as mentioned above. For ‘Crane Operator’ trade, selected candidates will have to undergo training for a period of 2 years. For ‘Other’ trades, selected candidates will have to undergo training for a period of 1 year. During this training period, candidates will get stipend as per the instructions issued by the Railway Board. | |||
| How to Apply : | Candidates should have to apply on plain A-4 size paper as per the format given below. The duly filled in application should have to be enclosed with the following documents : (1) The duly filled in Call Letter as per the format given below, (2) 2 copies of duly attested passport size recent photographs (1 copy each to be affixed on the top right hand corner of the Application Form & Call Letter), (3) 2 self-addressed envelopes of 11 × 5 inches size with Postage Stamp of Rs.27/- affixed thereon. Affixing postage stamp is not required for the candidates belonging to SC / ST category, (4) Attested photostat copies of all Certificates & Mark Sheets in support of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Caste (for SC / ST / OBC), Disability (PWD), Discharge (EXSM). The envelope containing the duly filled in application should have to be superscribed as ‘Application under Apprentice Act, 1961 for the year 2013-14 in Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi, North Central Railway’.
