{"id":657,"date":"2012-10-21T12:40:03","date_gmt":"2012-10-21T07:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eduetc.com\/edu\/?p=657"},"modified":"2013-09-04T20:06:09","modified_gmt":"2013-09-04T14:36:09","slug":"right-to-education-rte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eduetc.com\/edu\/right-to-education-rte\/","title":{"rendered":"RIGHT TO EDUCATION  RTE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" trbidi=\"on\">\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Right to Education Act (RTE) &nbsp;The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 in India:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The Text of entire Education Act can be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eduetc.com\/edu\/download\/RTE.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Read Here PDF<\/a><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: purple;\">Main features<\/span> of Right to Education 2009 act<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<b>The salient features of the Right of Children for Free and Compulsory Education act&nbsp;are &#8211;<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2022 Free and compulsory education to all children of India in the six to 14 age group;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2022 No child shall be held back, expelled, or required to pass a board examination until<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ncompletion of elementary education;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2022 A child above six years of age has not been admitted in any school or though admitted,&nbsp;could not complete his or her elementary education, then, he or she shall be admitted in&nbsp;a class appropriate to his or her age; Provided that where a child is directly admitted in a&nbsp;class appropriate to his or her age, then, he or she shall, in order to be at par with&nbsp;others, have a right to receive special training, in such manner, and within such timelimits,&nbsp;as may be prescribed: Provided further that a child so admitted to elementary&nbsp;education shall be entitled to free education till completion of elementary education even&nbsp;after fourteen years.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2022 Proof of age for admission: For the purposes of admission to elementary education. the&nbsp;age of a child shall be determined on the basis of the birth certificate issued in&nbsp;accordance with the provisions of the Births. Deaths and Marriages Registration Act,&nbsp;1856 or on the basis of such other document, as may be prescribed.
