The candidates will be selected for the above-mentioned post through the competitive examination comprising Written Examination (Multiple choice objective type) followed by Interview. The Written Examination will be held in Kolkata only in April, 2014 or thereabout.<\/p>\n
PAY :<\/strong> (PB-4A) Rs.15,600\/- to 42,000\/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400\/-. NO. OF VACANCY :<\/strong> 185 [Unreserved \u2013 45, SC \u2013 63, ST \u2013 40, BC(Category-A) \u2013 24, BC(Category-B) \u2013 02 and AGE :<\/strong> Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than the 2nd\u00a0January, 1981). Age relaxation as per gov rule.<\/p>\n Note : No candidate will be allowed to take more than three chances.<\/strong><\/p>\n FEE :<\/strong> Candidates must enclose with their applications a fee of Rs.210\/- (Rupees Two Hundred and\u00a0Ten) only by Indian Postal Order which must be purchased on a date after publication of this\u00a0advertisement and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West\u00a0Bengal or by a receipted challan from a Govt. \nGross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.21,000\/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.<\/p>\n

\nQUALIFICATIONS :<\/strong>
\na) Essential : (i) A degree in Civil Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualifications.
\n(ii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (Not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from the Hill areas of the
\nDistrict of Darjeeling).
\nb) Desirable : One year\u2019s Post-Graduate practical training or study or research or practical engineering experience.<\/p>\n
\nSC\/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities (40% and above) are not\u00a0required to pay any fee. No fee exemption is, however, available to BC candidates. No claim\u00a0for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.<\/p>\n
