(A), (B) and (C) above will be considered for final selection on aggregating the marks obtained in the Written Examination and Personality Test.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Note : Physical fitness:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The candidates must have sound hearing faculty, eye sight and general fitness for undertaking arduous outdoor work in the Forest Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of defective vision, it must be corrected to at least 6\/9 in the better eye and 6\/12 in the other eye but the candidate must not suffer from colour blindness or congenital or other diseases of the eye.<\/p>\n<p>The chief Medical Officer of Health or the Presidency Surgeon will test the Physical fitness of the nominated candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AGE RELAXATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\uf0a7 The upper age limit is relaxable &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0d8 by 5 years for SC and ST candidates of West Bengal,<\/p>\n<p>\uf0d8 by 3 years for BC &#8211; A and BC &#8211; B candidates of West Bengal,<\/p>\n<p>\uf0d8 by 2 years for candidates who have been in Government service continuously for at least two years.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0a7 Age relaxation for the Ex-Servicemen candidates will be given as per existing Govt. rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0a7 DATE OF BIRTH as recorded in MADHYAMIK OR EQUIVALENT ADMIT CARD \/ CERTIFICATE will only be accepted as a valid proof for verification of Age.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT NOTES RESERVATION \/ AGE RELAXATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A. The authorized staff of the<br \/>\nKendra will fill up the online application form on the basis of information provided by<br \/>\nthe applicant.<br \/>\n\uf0a7 He \/ She will also scan the photograph and signature of the applicant and upload it.<br \/>\n\uf0a7 CANDIDATES MUST CHECK ON SCREEN DETAIL INFORMATION ENTERED<br \/>\nBY THE STAFF BEFORE PROCEEDING FOR ONLINE PAYMENT.<br \/>\n\uf0a7 The Examination fees and \/ or Processing fees have to be paid to the Tathya Mitra<br \/>\nKendras. Short title and commencement (1) These rules may be called the West Bengal<br \/>\nServices (Appointment, Probation and Absorption of Group \u2018C\u2019 employees) Rules<br \/>\n2013.<br \/>\n(2) They shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of March, 2013.<br \/>\n2. Application \u2013 (1) These rules shall apply in case of appointment to any post or cadre<br \/>\nor service or category belonging to Group C.<br \/>\n(2) These rules shall not apply to :-<br \/>\n(a) Part-time workers, casual labourers, daily labourers, muster roll workers and<br \/>\nseasonal labourers;<br \/>\n(b) Such other categories of persons as may be specified from time to time by<br \/>\nGovernment notification in the Official Gazette;<br \/>\n(c) Cases of appointment on promotion.<br \/>\n3. Definition \u2013 In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires-<br \/>\n(1) \u201cAppointment on probation\u201d means appointment on trial before absorption;<br \/>\n(2) \u201cGovernment\u201d means the Government of West Bengal;<br \/>\n(3) \u201cProbationer\u201d means a Government employee appointed on probation<\/p>\n<p>4. Mode of appointment \u2013 On or after the date of coming into force of these rules, all<br \/>\nappointments on entry into posts or cadre or service or category belonging to Group<br \/>\nC in the Government service, shall be on probation for a period of three years.<br \/>\n5. Absorption after probation \u2013 A Government employee shall be absorbed on regular<br \/>\nbasis on satisfactory completion of the period of probation and for this purpose, the<br \/>\nperformance of the concerned employee shall be reviewed after completion of each<br \/>\nyear;<br \/>\nProvided that where passing of departmental or other examination like computer<br \/>\nskill etc. is essential under any existing rules of the concerned Group C post, the<br \/>\nconcerned employee shall have to pass the same within the period of probation;<br \/>\nProvided further that in case such Government employee fails to pass the<br \/>\ndepartmental or other examination within the period of probation, the period of<br \/>\nprobation may be extended for further period of one year on the request of the<br \/>\nemployee.<br \/>\n6. Discharge on non-satisfactory performance during the period of probation \u2013 In case<br \/>\nof non satisfactory performance or failing to pass the departmental examination or<br \/>\nother examination as mentioned in rule 5, the Government employee concerned may<br \/>\nbe discharged.<br \/>\n7. Selection procedure- Selection shall be made on the basis of competitive<br \/>\nexamination to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, West Bengal or the<br \/>\nPublic Service Commission, West Bengal (Clerkship Examination only), as the case<br \/>\nmay be, by way of following the procedures mentioned in the relevant recruitment<br \/>\nrules of the concerned Group C posts or cadre or service or category.<br \/>\n8. Drawal of salary during the period of probation- During the period of probation only<br \/>\nthe entry point pay i.e. Basic Pay plus Grade Pay of the concerned Group C posts or<br \/>\nservice or cadre or category shall be allowed with annual increment @ 3% per<br \/>\nannum and medical allowance, if any.<br \/>\n9. Treatment of probation period after absorption \u2013 (1) After absorption on successful<br \/>\ncompletion of the period of probation and passing of such departmental examination<br \/>\nwherever applicable an employee shall be allowed to draw pay in the regular scale<br \/>\nrelated to the concerned posts or service or cadre or category from date of<br \/>\nconfirmation.<br \/>\n(2) The period of probation shall be counted for pensionary benefit and shall not<br \/>\ncount for Modified Carrier Advancement Scheme (MCAS) or for promotion.<br \/>\n10. Leave during period of probation \u2013 Leave during period of probation shall be<br \/>\nallowed as per rule 213 of the West Bengal Service Rules, Part-I applicable for<br \/>\ncontractual appointment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL CONDITIONS FIXED BY THE COMMISSION<\/strong><br \/>\n\uf0fc ADMISSION TO THE EXAMINATION WILL BE PURELY PROVISIONAL<br \/>\nSUBJECT TO VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY AT A LATER STAGE.<br \/>\nTHEREFORE, CANDIDATURE OF ANY CANDIDATE SHALL BE REJECTED<br \/>\nSTRAIGHTWAY IF FOUND NOT ELIGIBLE AT ANY STAGE, EVEN AFTER<br \/>\nAPPEARANCE IN THE EXAMINATION.<br \/>\n\uf0fc CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR PHOTO IDENTITY CARD RECOGNIZED<br \/>\nBY THE GOVT.
