\nNURSING TRAINING COURSE (3 \u00bd YEARS G.N.M.) FOR
\nTHE SESSION SEPTEMBER\u20192015 TO FEBRUARY\u20192019
\n(I.N.C. & W.B.N.C. AFFILIATED)<\/p>\n
Application are invited from the female candidates for admission to the three & half years
\nG.N.M training Course in the Nurses\u2019 Training Centre, E.S.I. Hospital, Manicktala & Nursing
\nTraining School, E.S.I. Hospital, Sealdah under E.S.I. (M.B) Scheme, under Department of Labour,
\nGovernment of West Bengal. The last Six Month of the G.N.M Course will be for Internship.
\nTotal number of seats: 60(Sixty)
\n\u0001 40(Forty) at Nurses\u2019 Training Centre E.S.I. Hospital, Manicktala
\n\u0001 20 (Twenty) seats at Nursing Training School, E.S.I. Hospital, Sealdah.
\nReservation of the seats:
\ni. Schedule caste candidates: 22%
\nii. Schedule Tribe candidate 6%
\niii. Dependent Daughter of Insured person 2 seats are reserved for both the
\ntraining school
\niv. Other Backword classes Category-A Candidates 10%
\nv. Other Backword classes Category-B Candidates 7%
\nINSTRUCTIONS:
\n1. Age: Age of the candidates should be from 17 to 27 years as on 01.01.2015.
\n2. Candidate must be citizen of India and a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for the last
\nfive years, preceding the date of submitting application for admission to the Training school.
\n3. Candidates must be able to read, write and express themselves in Bengali and in
\nEnglish.
\n4. Minimum Educational Qualification: Passed Higher Secondary Examination(10+2) from West
\nBengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or passed equivalent examination from any recognized
\nCouncil\/Board.
\n5.
\nSelection will be made strictly on the basis of total marks obtained in two Languages out of which
\nEnglish must be one and best of three subjects mentioned below except Environmental studies
\nin H.S Examination. Marks in Environmental Science and Vocational stream will not be
\nconsidered. Candidate who passed from open school will not be allowed. Admission is subject to
\nverification of mark-sheet from H.S. Council\/ concerned authority.
\nThe candidates who have the following subjects can apply:

\nTwo Languages out of which English Must be one and any three of the listed subjects like
\nMathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, Economics, Political Science,
\nHistory, Geography, Nutrition, Home science, Education, Business Studies, Accountancy, Computer
\nScience or Computer Application , Sociology, Psychology, anthropology, Philosophy.
\n6. Applications are to be made as per prescribed format published in the website
\nwww.esiwb.gov.in ( As per proforma in the annexure 1). No application will be entertained if any
\ncolumn is left blank\/ not filled up properly or not as per proforma).
\n7. Applications must be accompanied by original\/ attested photocopies of each of the following
\ndocuments. If any of the documents is not submitted with the application, the application will be
\nrejected (this will be followed strictly).
\na) Self attested two photocopies of Mark sheet of Higher Secondary\/ Equivalent Examination.
\nb) Age proof certificate \u2013 self attested photocopy of Admit card or certificate of Madhyamik\/
\nEquivalent Examination.
\nc) Original copy of Residential certificate as prescribed in the column 19 of this advertisement
\nshould be issued only by the Mayor\/ Councilor of a Municipal corporation\/ Chairman of
\nMunicipality\/ the local M.L.A. or the M.P. of election area of the candidate\/ Sabhapati of
\nPanchayat Samity\/ Sabhadhipati of Jilla Parishad\/Block Development Officer of the locality
\nmentioning that the candidates resides there permanently or for the period of last five (5) years
\ntill date.
\nd) Self Attested photocopy of candidate\u2019s own Certificate of the Scheduled Caste\/ Scheduled
\nTribe\/OBC-A\/OBC-B certificate issued by the District -Magistrate\/ Additional District Magistrate\/
\nS.D.O\/ District Welfare Officer\/Jt.Director or Deputy Director of Backward Classes Welfare
\nDepartment (Applicable for SC\/ST\/OBC-A\/OBC-B Candidates only).
\ne) Self signed copy of recent passport size photograph to be affixed at the right upper corner of the
\napplication.
\nf) Candidate for the daughter of the Insured person (IP) must submit the photocopy of the Valid IP
\nCard.
\ng) Contact No. & address of the candidate is to be mentioned in the application.
\n8. Application should be submitted by registered post with AD or Speed post or courier service only. No
\napplication will be received beyond the stipulated date of submission. No application will be received
\nby hand.

\n9. The last date for receiving the applications for the said course will be 22\/06\/2015
\nin the Office of the Principal, NT.C., E.S.I. Hospital Manicktala during the office hours on Monday to
\nFriday (10 A.M. to 5 P.M.) and Saturday (10 A.M. to 2 P.M.) except Sundays and holidays.
\n10. A list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of N.T.C., E.S.I. Hospital
\nManicktala and N.T.S., E.S.I. Hospital Sealdah on around 2nd week of August, 2015. Result can be seen
\nin website (www.esiwb.gov.in) also. Candidate will not be informed personally.
\n11. Selection of S.C. \/S.T\/OBC-A\/OBC-B. Candidates will be followed as per existing W.B. Govt. rule.
\n12. After 3 years\u2019 of training, the Internship (six months) may be conducted in any of the 13 Hospitals
\nunder E.S.I. (MB) Scheme in West Bengal as the decision of the E.S.I. Directorate.

\n13. Applicants should note that this is a purely academic and technical course conducted by the ESI
\nauthority and after completion of the G.N.M. (R) training course the Govt. of W.B. (Labour
\nDepartment) will not bound the ESI Directorate \/Labour Department, Government of West Bengal, in
\nany way, to offer employment to the successful candidates under any condition. The candidates
\ncompleting the Nursing and other courses under E.S.I. Directorate, Govt. of West Bengal will not have
\nany special claim for employment under this Directorate\/ Labour Department.
\n14. The date of Medical Test of the selected candidates will be declared on the Notice Board of N.T.C.,
\nE.S.I. Hospital Manicktala and N.T.S, E.S.I. Hospital Sealdah along with the merit list. The candidates
\nfailing to appear on the specified date will not be reconsidered.
\n15. For any in-disciplined conduct of the trainee during the training period the candidate may be dismissed
\nfrom the training. Decisions of the Authority are final and binding in this regard.
\n16. The course is purely residential (compulsory).
\n17. No individual intimation will be given to the candidate about rejection.
\n18. Selected candidate will have to bear establishment cost of the hostel @ Rs. 12\/-(twelve) per month. The
\nfooding charges will be decided by the management of the training centre and will be borne by the
\ntrainee. They will also have to bear the expenditure required for the purchase of books and stationery
\nrelated matter and also fares to visit different clinical fields as per requirement of the syllabus.
