South Western Railway is recruiting 338\u00a0<\/span>Act Apprentice<\/strong>\u00a0in the following trades \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Electrician and Ref A\/C Mechanic<\/strong>\u00a0in Carriage Repair Workshop under Apprentice Act-1961. ACT APPRENTICE UNDER APPRENTICES ACT-1961<\/strong>
\nTrade wise vacancies are as follows<\/span>\u2014<\/p>\n

(i) Fitter: 176 Nos. (Gen\u201489; SC\u201426; ST\u201413 & OBC\u201448)
\n(ii) Machinist: 15 Nos. (Gen\u20148; SC\u20142; ST\u20141 & OBC\u20144)
\n(iii) Turner: 20 Nos. (Gen\u201410; SC\u20143; ST\u20142 & OBC\u20145)
\n(iv) Welder: 87 Nos. (Gen\u201444; SC\u201413; ST\u20147 & OBC\u201423)
\n(v) Electrician: 25 Nos. (Gen\u201413; SC\u20143; ST\u20142 & OBC\u20147)
\n(vi) Ref A\/C Mechanic: 15 Nos. (Gen\u20148; SC\u20142; ST\u20141 & OBC\u20144)<\/p>\n

Educational Qualification (for all above trades):<\/strong>\u00a0Class 10\/Matriculation passed and ITI passed in relevant trade.
\nCandidates awaiting result are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n

Age Limit (for all above trades):<\/strong>\u00a015 to 24 years as on 24.04.2015. The upper age relaxation for SC\/ST is 5 years; OBC is 3 years and others as per govt. norms.<\/p>\n

Mode of selection:<\/strong>\u00a0Selection of the candidates will be on basis of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Metric or 10th standard then called for documents\/Physical verification and Physical fitness test. Exact Date, Time and venue for examination will be intimated in due course.
